Media Relations & Communications


Cardinal Communications:

I have been a member of Cardinal Communications, Ball State’s student-run creative communications agency, since 2014. The Vernon C. Schranz Distinguished Lectureship is the longest running public relations lectureship in the nation and was one of my team’s clients for the past three years. Along with helping coordinate event planning, execution and evaluation for nearly 200 attendees, we also created promotional material for the event. We created media kits, executed media relations, created social media content and worked with a creative team to make a promotional poster and video. Below are a few samples of work.


Social Media

Cardinal Communications:

The Pepsi Little People’s Golf Championships was one of my team’s clients last year. Our team developed a social media strategy that we later implemented and managed on behalf of the client. Below is a social media performance report showing the before and after results of the social strategy implementation.


Alpha Phi Delta Rho:

In 2015, I was the Public Relations and Advertising chair for my sorority. I strategized and executed all posts on behalf of our chapter for Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and our chapter’s blog. I also rebuilt the Alpha Phi Delta Rho website during the spring of 2015. This past year, I served as the Director of Web Communications. I was in charge of updating our chapter’s website and blogging on behalf of Alpha Phi.


davies + dixon: 

During my 2015 internship with davies + dixon, a start-up marketing firm in Seattle, I helped create the social media strategy below. The client’s main target audiences were leaders, mentors and influencers in the events industry. I created content and managed this client’s Twitter and Facebook through the duration of the internship.

During this internship, I also created content and managed the davies + dixon Facebook and Twitter accounts, along with a real estate client.


HotBox Pizza: 

I worked on the marketing team as the social media manager for a pizza franchise in Muncie, Ind. They aimed their witty, sarcastic and bold brand voice toward college students, their main target audience.


Marketing & Branding

davies + dixon:

I created a 12-month internal marketing plan for my ongoing summer project. During the last week of my internship, I presented this project to the company’s founders. I built this marketing plan based on knowledge I’ve obtained from my classes and organizations at Ball State. This plan was implemented by the company after the summer months of my internship.


Another ongoing summer project for my internship was to redesign the davies + dixon website with a new platform called SimplyBuilt. The website can be found at www.daviesanddixon.com.


I strategized with the d+d team to provide content in this brand guidelines document for a start-up company in Seattle.
